Zero bias Interview tool

Using state of the art motion capture, 3d Avatar and audio manipulation technology we can provide an interview platform which takes away the unwanted visual and audio bias triggers which can get in the way of hiring the best talent possible.

Conduct the interview as normal, without the distractions of a normal video interview.

Have the confidence to truly say that you compared candidates on their ability, responses to questions and skills rather than any unwelcome bias.

Whether you use the tool to “sample test” the bias or otherwise of your organization or continually use it as a primary part of your recruitment process, we have the solution for you.

How does it work?

Once you have identified a candidate for interview just send them a link before the interview. It will install our zero bias videoconferencing software on their PC. The software has all the usual features you expect in a high end video conferencing tool e.g. Chat, screen share etc.

We also have an option to interface with most industry video conferencing tools e.g. Zoom, Teams.

The software also installs a “virtual camera” which becomes the default camera for the interview. This camera tracks the facial movements of the candidate and superimposes a 3D”avatar” over the candidates image. This avatar can be gender and skin”neutral” if required. When the candidate smiles the avatar smiles when the candidate shakes their head the avatar shakes its head.

The avatar moves as you do (top right picture not seen by interviewer)

But that’s not all!

It also modulates their voice to a frequency which is shared by both male and female voices.

This process effectively masks the candidate from any initial bias the interviewing team may have.

The candidate can see the unfiltered images of the interviewer but from their point of view they see the candidate as the avatar.

Remove gendered wording

How many of us have ever stopped and considered the inherent gender bias of the language we use every day? When it comes to crafting the perfect job description, the gender implications of words used can have a significant impact on the recruitment process.

Researchers have found that women are much less likely to apply to job descriptions that include ‘masculine-coded’ language such as “active”, “confident” and “driven.” Interestingly, the effect of feminine-coded words like “interpersonal”, “honest” and “support” on male applicants was found to be negligible.

We will review your job advertisement and provide feedback on the impartiality of it’s content

Resume Normalizer

Even when reading a resume our biases can come into play, Where did they grow up? Is it from a man or a woman? How do you pronounce that name? Do they like the same sports and pastimes as I do?

To help avoid this pitfall we can review and edit your prospects resume before you see it to ensure that we avoid as many of these triggers as possible.
